Hamas Condemns Israeli Killing of Palestinian Teen
Speaking by phone with the teenager’s father, Hamas deputy chief Saleh al-Arouri denounced the gruesome crimes by the Zionist regime, Anadolu Agency reported.
He also said Hamas and the entire Palestinian nation will continue the resistance against the occupiers and foil their attempts to annex the West Bank and Judaize Jerusalem al-Quds.
Resistance is the only way to counter the Israeli aggression and crimes against the Palestinian nation, Arouri added.
Fourteen-year-old Ali Abu Alia was killed Friday in Al Mughair village near Ramallah.
Ali was shot in the stomach during a protest against Israeli occupation in the al-Mughayyir village near the West Bank city of Ramallah.
He was taken to hospital in Ramallah, but succumbed to his injuries.
The United Nations’ Middle East envoy, Nickolay Mladenov, said he was appalled by the killing.
“Israel must swiftly and independently investigate this shocking and unacceptable incident,” he tweeted.
